Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job Description\nWork Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (7:30am-4:30pm)\nJob Responsibilities:\nOrient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.\n\nCommunicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper flow of vehicles and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.\n\nCommunicate schedules and assignments to the crew members.\n\nServe as lane leader on sale days.\n\nCoordinate move requirements with lot manager and quadrant coordinator.\n\nAssist supervisor in making sure that lease lanes and pre-sales are properly staged and parked.\n\nManage vans and transporting drivers to locations. Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles by transporting them according to schedule to their proper work destinations.\n\nShuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days; provide transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites.\n\nPick-up and drop-off employees and other Auction personnel to/from the Auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations/businesses, and other locations.\n\nPerform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van and clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.\n\nVisibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with Market Safety Manager in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.\n\nWork with manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement.\n\nEffectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.\n\nEnforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\n\nQualifications:\nMinimum:\nHigh School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related work experience, OR any degree or certification above a High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of related work experience, OR 5 years of related work experience.\n\nSafe Drivers needed; Valid driver’s license required.\n\nAbility to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.\n\nBasic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump starting vehicles.)\n\nRequired to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear, vision abilities required to include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\n\nAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time.\n\nAbility to lift 1-15 pounds.\n\nPreferred:\n6 months auction or driving experience preferred.\n\nKnowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.\n\nKnowledge of LDM preferred.\n\nWork Environment:\nConstant exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
