Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job Description\nJob Description:\nEnsures all body repairs and paint work meet company, OEM, and customer quality standards before vehicles are released from the body and paint department. Performs detailed inspections throughout the repair process to identify defects, verify repair quality, and promote continuous improvement in shop operations.\nJob Responsibilities\nConduct final quality inspections on all completed body and paint repairs prior to vehicle delivery.\nVerify all repairs meet company quality standards, OEM specifications, safety requirements, and customer expectations.\nInspect body repairs for proper panel alignment, fit and finish, and overall workmanship.\nEvaluate paint work for color match, texture consistency, gloss level, dirt inclusions, runs, sags, overspray, and other paint defects.\nDocument inspection findings and communicate to technicians and shop leadership.\nMaintain accurate quality control records and inspection reports.\nCollaborate with technicians and management to resolve quality issues efficiently.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework and improve first-time quality.\nParticipate quality review walks to ensure consistent standards across all repairs.\nReport trends related to workmanship, materials, equipment, or process deficiencies that may impact quality or customer satisfaction.\nQualifications:\nHigh School or GED Preferred. \n1-3 years of experience in an auto body or reconditioning work, or as a quality control inspector, preferred.\nValid Driver’s License and safe driving record required. \nAbility to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions. \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills required. \nMust be detail-oriented.\nRegularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. \nFrequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb. Ability to lift 1-15 pounds. \nVision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nFrequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. \nOccasional exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazard, fumes, dust, and odors.
