This role works cross-functionally with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver business value through high-quality, reliable software.\nThis is a hands-on role focused on building production-ready solutions, while contributing to technical direction, mentoring engineers, and leveraging modern tools-including AI and spec-driven development-to improve engineering productivity and outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSoftware Development & Design\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy software across the full technology stack\nTranslate business and functional requirements into clear, well-defined technical specifications\nEnsure systems are scalable, resilient, maintainable, and secure\nApply modern engineering standards and best practices\nDelivery & Execution\nBreak down specs and features into clear, actionable, and estimable tasks\nDeliver incremental value using Agile methodologies\nOwn end-to-end delivery of features or services\nAlign development with architectural standards and system design\nQuality & Reliability\nWrite and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests\nEnsure code quality, performance, and adherence to specifications\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues\nIdentify risks, dependencies, and deviations early\nAI-Transformed Engineering\nLeverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based tools) to improve productivity and code quality\nUse AI for code generation, test creation, debugging, and documentation\nValidate and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability\nContribute to team practices around AI usage and prompt engineering\nSpec-Driven Development\nDrive spec-driven development, where features are defined through clear, structured specifications before implementation\nCreate and refine technical specs (APIs, contracts, workflows, data models) that serve as the source of truth for development\nUse specifications to enable alignment across engineering, product, and QA\nLeverage specs to support automation, testing, and AI-assisted development workflows\nEnsure implementations are traceable back to specifications and meet defined acceptance criteria\nCollaboration\nPartner with Product, QA, and Architecture teams to deliver solutions\nParticipate in design discussions and technical decision-making\nCommunicate progress, trade-offs, and blockers clearly\nTechnical Leadership & Growth\nContribute to coding standards and engineering best practices\nMentor junior engineers through code reviews and guidance\nContinuously learn and adopt new technologies, including AI-driven techniques\nSpec-Driven + AI Requirements\nExperience working in spec-driven or contract-first development environments\nAbility to define clear technical specifications (e.g., API contracts, schemas, workflows)\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools effectively\nAbility to validate, refine, and safely adopt AI-generated outputs\nUnderstanding of responsible AI usage in software development\nRequired Qualifications\nApplicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.\n\nBachelor’s degree Computer Science or a related discipline and 4+ years of experience in a related field, OR master’s degree and 2+ years of experience, OR Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience, OR 18+ years of directly relevant experience.\nStrong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, .NET)\nExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and distributed systems\nSolid understanding of system design, APIs, and data models\nExperience with automated testing and CI/CD practices\nIn Office 3 days a week required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building large-scale or mission-critical systems\nFamiliarity with microservices and event-driven architectures\nExperience integrating AI capabilities into applications (e.g., LLM APIs, search, recommendations)\nExperience improving engineering workflows through automation or AI\nStrong debugging and performance tuning skills\nDrug Testing\nTo be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
