Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.Job Description\nThis position supervises and directs the daily activities of lot personnel and the lot operations function for the Auction, ensuring efficient, orderly, and proper staging and movement of vehicles on the lot and through the sales lanes.\nSchedule: Tuesday-Saturday (M-F 7am-7pm, Sa 8am-5pm)\nJob Responsibilities:\nAssist with lot operations daily to ensure efficient operations before and after sale.\nSupervise the daily operation of the vehicle check-in area by supervising and coordinating the activities and the workflow of the sale lot drivers, check-in personnel, lane captains, and other lot operations employees.\nEnsure efficient lot operations by coordinating the movement of vehicles from check-in to the sale lanes. Supervise flow to ensure incoming vehicles are received, stocked in, numbered, and parked in the proper areas. \nProvide quality service and interact with customers to resolve any problems that may occur.\nInspect and maintain lot operations equipment and ensure that it is functional and in good working condition.\nMonitor lot damage and meet with the Operations Manager regularly to review and resolve potential lot operations problems.\nCoordinate with Reconditioning\nCheck-in, Factory, and Fleet/Lease departments to schedule and prepare vehicles for sale, ensure accurate and efficient vehicle check-in, and maintain the proper sequence of vehicles.\nSupervise and direct the work of lot operations employees by determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties, and monitoring work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.\nAssist the manager in counseling and disciplining employees as necessary.\nUnder the direction of the manager, plan, monitor, and evaluate employee job performance, and assist the manager in conducting performance appraisals.\nVisibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. \nWork with manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement. \nEffectively lead the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect. \nEnforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.\nPerform other duties as assigned by manager. \nQualifications:\nEquivalent combination of education and work-related experience\nHigh School Diploma and five years of relevant experience in a related field. OR\nBachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant experience in a related field. OR\nMaster’s Degree and up to two years of relevant experience in a related field. \nPh.D. and up to one year of relevant experience in a related field. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in the automobile industry or the Auction business.\nStrong communication and interaction skills.\nCompetent supervisory and organizational skills.\nComputer and software proficiency.\nValid driver’s License and a safe driving record required. \nAbility to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.\nRegularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.\nFrequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.\nManual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.\nMSCOX\nDrug Testing\nTo be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
