The Data Engineer also plays a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging technologies.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nKey Responsibilities:\nProcess Structured and Unstructured Data\nGathers and processes raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using batch and real-time data processing frameworks.\nUnderstands and enforces appropriate data master management techniques.\n\nData Validation and Quality\nEnsures data quality and implements tools and frameworks for automating the identification of data quality issues.\nWork with internal and external data providers on data validation providing feedback and making customized changes to data feeds and data mappings.\n\nAgile Planning\nUnderstands the challenges that the analytics organization faces in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable data solutions.\nRecommends improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt.\n\nProduct Development\nImplements and optimizes data solutions in enterprise data warehouses and big data repositories.\nInstalls, maintains, monitors, and supports business intelligence, distributed computation, and big data analytics tools.\n\nApplication Support\nProvides ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.\n\nEmerging Technology Monitoring\nActively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new data technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.\n\nWHO YOU ARE\nMinimum Qualifications:\nApplicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future\nMust live within a commutable distance of Atlanta GA \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and minimum 2+ years of related Data Engineering experience or Masters degree and at minimum 1 year of professional Data Engineering experience\nMust have professional working experience as a Data Engineer beyond internships\nWorking experience with batch and real-time data processing frameworks\nREQUIRED: Working experience with data modelling, data access, schemas, and data storage techniques within Snowflake\nWorking experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems\nWorking experience working with relational databases such as SQL, MySQL, Postgres/PostgreSQL \nWorking experience with business intelligence tools and platforms\nWorking experience with data quality tools\nWorking experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative)\nExperience with ETL processes and tools\nExperience working with Git\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nScrum Developer Certification or equivalent\nWorking experience with Sisense, Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI platforms\nWorking experience with data modeling\nWorking experience with the Snowflake ecosystem\nWorking experience with AWS data tools (Database Migration Service)\nWorking experience with Python\nExperience working with Jira, Rally or similar tools\n\nUSD 89,400.00 - 134,000.00 per year\nCompensation:\nCompensation includes a base salary in the range of $89,400.00 - $134,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.\nBenefits:\nThe Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
