We design, build, and maintain a modern cloud-based data platform that serves as the foundation for reporting, analytics, data products, and AI-driven solutions across our business.\nAs a Data Engineer II, you will play a key role in advancing our data ecosystem by designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions that transform raw data into trusted, analytics-ready assets. You will partner with engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver data products that drive business outcomes while helping evolve our data platform and engineering practices.\nIn this role, you will operate with a high degree of independence, owning solutions from design through implementation and support. You'll leverage modern cloud technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and engineering best practices to improve how data is delivered, governed, and consumed across the organization.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and deliver scalable data pipelines and integration solutions that provide trusted, accessible data for analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.\nBuild and enhance enterprise data models and warehouse solutions that support reporting, self-service analytics, and emerging AI use cases.\nPartner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to transform business requirements into reliable, maintainable data products.\nImprove platform performance, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency through continuous optimization and automation.\nLead technical problem-solving efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex data issues.\nContribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, technical design discussions, documentation, and adoption of best practices.\nMentor and support other engineers while helping evaluate new technologies and approaches that improve data delivery capabilities.\n\nWho You Are\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related technical field, and 2+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nProven experience supporting data warehouse or data-focused projects involving ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, and migration activities.\nExperience designing, developing, and supporting production data pipelines and data integration solutions.\nExperience writing and optimizing SQL for data transformation, integration, and analytics workloads.\nExperience working with cloud-based data, analytics, or software platforms.\nExperience using source control and collaborative software development practices.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with modern data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or similar data architecture methodologies.\nExperience with Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, or related cloud data technologies.\nExperience developing data products, semantic models, or self-service analytics solutions.\nExperience with Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting and automation technologies.\nRelevant certifications in Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, or related technologies.\n\nWhat's In It For You\nHere's a sneak peek of the benefits at your disposal as a Cox employee:\nA competitive salary and top-notch bonus/incentive plans.\nExceptional work-life balance, flexible time-off policies, and accommodating work schedules.\nComprehensive healthcare, with multiple options for individuals and families.\nGenerous 401(k) retirement plans with up to 8% company match.\nMental health support, including counseling and access to virtual wellness resources such as CALM.\nAccess to Care.com, with up to 10 days of subsidized care for children, seniors, and pets.\n\nCheck out all our benefits: https://jobs.coxenterprises.com/en/life-at-cox/benefits/\nUSD 89,400.00 - 134,000.00 per year\nCompensation:\nCompensation includes a base salary in the range of $89,400.00 - $134,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
