Senior Product Owner - POS / Back Office / E-Payment

The POS / Back Office / E-Payment domain is a critical operational technology area covering in-store point of sale systems, back office processing, and electronic payment capabilities across Makro Thailand. The Senior Product Owner will take ownership of this domain - currently underserved with only a Tech Lead and Junior PM - and evolve into the primary domain SME and product owner for this space.

In addition to the Thailand scope, this role will lead the Makro Philippines POS / Back Office initiative, where vendor has been onboarded and discovery sessions are underway. The person in this role will be the primary PIC for vendor governance and requirements alignment for the Philippines programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the product roadmap for POS, Back Office, and E-Payment systems across Makro Thailand
• Become the primary domain SME for POS/BO technology - understanding system architecture, integration points, and business operations
• Lead the Makro Philippines POS/Back Office initiative - drive vendor governance, requirements alignment, and discovery with Vendor
• Define and prioritize features and system enhancements in close collaboration with Store Operations, Finance, and IT teams
• Write PRDs, manage the product backlog, and deliver features in close partnership with the tech team
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders across Thailand and Philippines operations
• Establish structured product ownership practices in a domain that currently operates without a dedicated PO

Requirements

• 5-8 years of product management or product ownership experience with POS, retail technology, or store operations systems
• Strong understanding of POS architecture, back office processing, and payment integration in a retail environment
• Experience managing vendor relationships and driving requirements in vendor-led implementations
• Ability to operate as a domain SME - not just a facilitator, but a product expert who can challenge and guide technical decisions
• Comfortable working across multiple geographies - Thailand and Philippines scope requires flexibility and cross-cultural collaboration
• Structured thinking and strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams
• Fluency in English; Thai is an advantage

NICE TO HAVE

• Prior experience with POS/payment vendor implementations
• Experience in wholesale, hypermarket, or large-format retail environments
• Familiarity with Oracle Retail or similar ERP-integrated retail operations platforms
• Experience in cross-country technology rollouts or multi-market programmes
