This role offers the opportunity to work in an autonomous Finance Manager role on a roster.\nThis role will ensure the financial integrity of the project is maintained and enhanced through process, systems and best practice decision-making. It will also prepare financial reports, accounting records and other information allowing the project and senior leaders to make best decisions for the project.\nIn addition to these, you will:\nMonitor and control all project accounting systems and processes;\nPrepare accurate and timely monthly financial and management reports;\nEnsure accuracy and timeliness of budgets and forecasts for programs and projects;\nManagement of the month end accruals process and monthly/regular auditing requirements (both CIMIC and external);\nManagement of timely and accurate payments to creditors and sub-contractors in accordance with trading terms and conditions;\nCoordinating the preparation of monthly project claims, including invoicing and support documentation;\nManage project cashflow, balance sheet, audit and tax reporting requirements;\nEnsure effective accounting and cost controls are in place at all times;\nOversee and monitor accounts processing, ensuring the correct level of authorisation in accordance with company policy and legislation;\nLead the project finance team, developing capability and driving performance;\nProvide strategic financial advice to senior leadership.\nOur minimum requirements for this role are:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance and/or Business (preferred) and a holder of a CPA accreditation;\nExperience in a similar role including previous construction industry experience;\nAbility to interpret legislation, rules and regulations to ensure compliance with all state, federal and local and contractual guidelines;\nAwareness of policy and application of Corporate Limits of Liabilities and contractual and financial systems, processes and procedures;\nJDEdwards experience would be highly regarded;\nStrong technical accounting knowledge and application;\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nWe particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, mature workers, Veterans and Active Defence Reserve members, people with disability and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
