CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come.\nYour Opportunity\nReporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will lead the project team and be accountable for:\nManaging safety and environmental performance, construction management, stakeholder engagement & financial performance\nManagement of high-risk projects throughout the entire project lifecycle to meet project objectives, from assistance with preparation of business case through project start, design, procurement, manufacturing, erection and installation on site, commissioning, acceptance testing, handover and defects liability period.\nEnsure appropriate change and quality control throughout the project\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and project personnel, cultivating an inclusive, high-performance culture built on collaboration and continuous learning.\nServe as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, managing communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to build strong, cooperative relationships.\nProactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring effective risk management plans are developed and implemented throughout the project lifecycle.\nOversee project financial performance, including cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and managing expenditures to support delivery within approved budgets.\nEnsure comprehensive documentation of project activities, decisions, and lessons learned, and provide clear, accurate reporting on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.\nLead project close-out activities, including system testing, commissioning, and preparation of handover documentation to support operational readiness and client satisfaction.\nPreferred Qualifications and Experience:\nExperienced Project Manager ($200m pa)\n+ 5yrs in civil infrastructure construction or pipeline construction \nDemonstrated experience working with Tier 1 operators as Principal Contractor\nExpertise in civil construction along with HDPE pipeline construction\nConstruction in brownfield gas infrastructure environment including Hot Taps and Squeeze-off tie-ins. \nSound knowledge of the APGA Code of Practice\nA strong safety-focused culture\nField based and hands on\nThis role is offered on FIFO arrangement from Brisbane or local hire on an 18 on and 10 off roster.\nWe particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, mature workers, Veterans and Active Defence Reserve members, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds.
