Serves as a key communications link between the Far East service platforms, customers and CONUS based team members.\nRoles & Responsibilities :\nProvide responsive, professional customer service to U.S. military installations, Navy ships, and other authorized customers.\nOversee daily operations at the Yokohama warehouse facilities, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution activities.\nCoordinate preparations for annual warehouse sanitation audits and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and food defense requirements.\nAddress customer concerns, resolve operational issues, and coordinate corrective actions with appropriate personnel and service providers.\nMaintain effective working relationships with Navy ship and shore-based customers, the DLA Troop Support Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and CPFD service providers.\nCoordinate with CPFD personnel across all service areas to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer requirements.\nPrepare daily Order Acknowledgement (ORDAK) reports, recommend substitutions for items not in stock (NIS), and process customer-requested changes to order quantities and delivery dates.\nVerify product availability, coordinate special deliveries, and relabel products approved for shelf-life extensions in accordance with established procedures.\nTrack inbound containers, coordinate receiving activities, and recommend inter-warehouse transfers to maintain inventory availability and support replenishment requirements.\nSupport receiving, inspection, inventory accountability, loading, unloading, material handling, and product documentation to ensure accurate and efficient warehouse operations.\nReview, prepare, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, manifests, shipping labels, delivery tickets, and inventory records.\nAssist with inventory reconciliation, stock verification, and the identification and resolution of inventory discrepancies.\nCoordinate transportation and delivery activities, including performing delivery-driver duties in support of GSA and Prime Vendor customer operations, as required.\nProvide operational oversight of General Services Administration (GSA) activities throughout Japan.\nPerform other related duties as assigned to support CPFD operational and customer service requirements.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob Requirements:\nEducation:\nPosition requires High school education or equivalent work experience. Some college education with proficiency in written communications and basic mathematics is preferred.\nExperience:\nPosition requires at least five years of foodservice or US Military experience. Logistics or sales, Food Defense/Sanitation Audits, GSA operations and quality control experience are a plus.\nKnowledge:\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft applications to include Word, Excel (formulas), Outlook and other standard programs.\nSkills and Abilities:\nDemonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers and vendors.\nStrong and dependable team player with a professional attitude.\nExcellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.\nMust successfully complete and pass a background check to obtain and maintain Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) status in Japan.\nMust possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to obtain a SOFA driver's license forklift license in Japan.\nEOE/AA/M/F/Vet/Disabled.
