Key responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, material batches, analysis, and accounting projects, while collaborating with other departments throughout CPI including Operations, Sales and the Finance teams.\nReporting directly to the Director of Accounting, this position is vital for our monthly close process. The Senior Accountant will handle various month-end responsibilities, including processing journal entries for rebates, commissions, inventory and revenue, which will require detailed research and precise calculations.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include supporting inventory management and job-related tasks, such as conducting reviews for inventory obsolescence, analyzing sales, costs, and margins, and facilitating job closure processes. You will also be tasked with calculating and preparing general journal entries for rebates, commissions, inventory and revenue, which will necessitate thorough research and precise calculations.\nAdditionally, you will reconcile balance sheet accounts each month, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise. It is essential to uphold compliance with company policies and procedures, including the requirements set forth by Sarbanes-Oxley for internal controls.
