He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and supervision of site works and interface works, quality control, carrying out site inspections, overseeing on-site and off-site testing as directed, and monitoring site housekeeping and safety. He/she will liaise with project teams, maintenance and operations teams, Safety Office, external consultants and government authorities in relation to project quality and safety.\nThe appointee may be required to work shifts, overtime and on public holidays, subject to prior arrangements.\nEnquiries about the post should be sent to .\n\nQualifications and Qualities\nApplicants should possess:\nA Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent disciplines;\nAt least 8 years’ post-qualification experience, of which at least 5 years must be in a supervisory/responsible position in project management, monitoring and site supervision; \nA valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) issued in accordance with Chapter 59 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (i.e. by attending the relevant safety training courses which are recognized by the Commissioner for Labour) or equivalent;\nGood communication skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and\nSolid site supervision experience in large-scale, institutional, DfMA or MiC projects would be an advantage.\nThose with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Technical Manager II.\nThose who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref: 536931) need not re-apply.\n\nWhat We offer\nThe appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
