Financial Accountant

Role: Financial Accountant

PQE: 1-3 years post-qualification

Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA (Big 4 or Top 10 trained preferred)

Location: Dublin

Type: Permanent / Full-time

The Role

A great opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, trained in a top 10 practice, to make the move into industry. This role suits someone who wants to build on their audit or practice grounding and take on broader commercial exposure in a fast-paced finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
Assist with month-end close, journals, accruals and prepayments
Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Assist with statutory accounts preparation and compliance (VAT, Revenue filings, CSO returns)
Support budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis
Contribute to process improvement and systems/automation initiatives
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to senior finance stakeholders

Candidate Profile

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-3 years PQE
Trained in a top 10 accounting firm (audit or practice background)
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) an advantage
Strong communicator, comfortable liaising across departments
Commercially curious, keen to transition from practice into industry
Self-starter with ability to manage competing deadlines
