Lab Technician
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our growing laboratory team based in Limerick.
This is an excellent opportunity for a science graduate looking to develop hands-on laboratory experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of test solutions and blood samples for sensor testing
- General solution preparation and blood manipulation
- Testing sensors in aqueous solutions and blood, including accurate data collection
- Recording detailed test notes and generating test reports and summaries
- Supporting the generation and implementation of laboratory SOPs
- Proactively identifying, addressing, and escalating laboratory issues or anomalies
- Maintaining high standards of laboratory housekeeping
- Ordering laboratory materials and ensuring adequate stock levels
- Coordinating instrument maintenance and calibration
- Supporting and adhering to safe laboratory operating practices
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc or Higher Diploma in a scientific discipline
- Minimum laboratory experience required
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and communication skills
