The company supplies products across domestic and international markets and continues to invest in environmental stewardship, employee wellbeing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout its manufacturing operations.\nAbout the Role\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to join a well-established food manufacturing business. The successful candidate will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety and sustainability programmes across the site while helping to drive a positive safety culture.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnvironmental & Sustainability\nSupport the development and implementation of environmental and sustainability strategies.\nMonitor environmental performance including energy usage, waste management, water consumption and carbon reduction initiatives.\nLead sustainability reporting activities.\nSupport certification programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainability-focused projects.\nContribute to environmental compliance and reporting requirements.\nHealth & Safety\nMaintain and continuously improve Health & Safety Management Systems.\nConduct site inspections, risk assessments and internal audits.\nDeliver Health & Safety training programmes, including Manual Handling.\nInvestigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances.\nImplement corrective and preventative actions.\nAct as a key contact for regulatory bodies and insurance providers.\nCompliance & Auditing\nCoordinate and support external audits.\nMaintain accurate risk management and compliance documentation.\nEnsure compliance with Irish and EU Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.\nSupport customer, regulatory and third-party audit requirements.\nRequirements\nDegree qualification in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Sustainability or related discipline.\n2-4 years' experience in an EHS position within manufacturing, food production or a regulated environment.\nCertified Manual Handling Trainer.\nStrong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.\nExperience supporting external audits.\nSustainability programme experience would be advantageous.\nKey Competencies\nExcellent communication skills.\nStrong organisational
