Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team in Limerick.\nThe Role\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging engineering projects from concept development through design, validation, testing and manufacture.\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in developing customer-focused engineering solutions while supporting manufacturing, quality, commercial and project teams.\nThis role will suit an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working directly on product development activities and contributing to innovative engineering solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop mechanical products, assemblies and engineered solutions.\nReview customer specifications and technical requirements.\nProduce engineering calculations and design verification documentation.\nDevelop detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.\nCarry out technical analysis, testing and design reviews.\nProvide technical support to manufacturing, quality and commercial teams.\nLead engineering projects from concept through implementation.\nParticipate in new product development activities.\nSupport validation, testing and certification programmes.\nDrive engineering and process improvement initiatives.\nLiaise with customers, suppliers and external stakeholders.\nMentor and support junior engineers within the team.\nEssential Requirements\nDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nPrevious experience within a manufacturing, engineering or product development environment.\nStrong mechanical design capability.\nExperience with 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks, Inventor or equivalent.\nStrong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.\nExperience supporting product development or engineering projects.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong planning and organisational ability.\nPractical and hands-on problem-solving approach.\nAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nDesirable Requirements\nMaster's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related discipline.\nQualification in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering Mathematics.\nExperience performing engineering calculations and technical analysis.\nExperience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).\nExperience within pharmaceutical, medical device, industrial manufacturing or other regulated environments.\nProduct development experience.\nKnowledge of pressure equipment, safety systems, process engineering systems or industrial process equipment.\nExperience supporting certification, validation or approval activities.\nStrong data analysis, modelling and analytical capability.\nExperience mentoring or coaching engineers.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:\nStrong mechanical design and engineering capability.\nExcellent mathematical and analytical aptitude.\nQualification in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering Mathematics or a highly quantitative engineering discipline would be a significant advantage.\nAbility to undertake complex engineering calculations and technical evaluations.\nStrong product development and innovation experience.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nCommercial awareness and customer focus.\nHigh attention to detail.\nAbility to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.\nExperience operating within regulated engineering or manufacturing environments.\nCapability to take ownership of projects from concept through to commercial implementation.\nStrong problem-solving capability
