This is a senior, hands-on position focused on building and evolving high-performance platforms supporting complex trading and derivatives environments.\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical leadership across the design and delivery of critical trading technology platforms.\nShape architecture, engineering standards and technical direction across complex Java applications.\nRemain hands-on in solving complex engineering, performance and scalability challenges.\nLead the development of distributed systems, microservices and event-driven solutions.\nDrive engineering best practices across performance, resilience, testing and code quality.\nProvide technical direction across Java concurrency, JVM optimisation and low-latency processing.\nSupport the continued modernisation of platforms using cloud-native and container technologies.\nPartner with senior stakeholders across technology, trading, risk, quantitative and infrastructure teams.\nMentor engineers and technical leads while promoting strong engineering practices and continuous improvement. \nRequirements\nSignificant experience delivering and leading complex enterprise Java applications. 8-10 Years. \nStrong background in investment banking, derivatives, trading, pricing or risk technology.\nExcellent hands-on Java skills, including concurrency, multithreading, JVM profiling and performance tuning.\nStrong experience with distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture.\nExperience with Kafka or similar messaging technologies.\nKnowledge of Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.\nLow-latency or algorithmic trading experience would be highly advantageous.\nStrong CI/CD, automated testing and Agile delivery experience.\nComfortable operating at a senior level and influencing both technical and business stakeholders. \nLocation & Eligibility\nDublin-based hybrid role.
