This is an opportunity to play a key role in the design and modernisation of enterprise applications, working across cloud, integration, microservices and wider transformation initiatives.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, data and business teams to define scalable, secure and resilient technology solutions while helping shape the organisation’s wider application architecture strategy.\nResponsibilities\nDesign end-to-end application and solution architectures for strategic technology initiatives.\nDefine scalable, secure and resilient application frameworks and technical solutions.\nSupport cloud transformation and application modernisation programmes.\nDrive modern architecture approaches including microservices, API-first integration and event-driven architecture.\nSupport the transformation and rationalisation of legacy applications.\nEstablish architectural standards, principles and reusable design patterns.\nProvide architectural guidance to engineering and delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle.\nWork closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technology solutions.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for simplification and modernisation.\nRequirements\nStrong experience as an Application Architect, Solutions Architect or similar senior technology professional.\nPrevious experience within financial services or another complex enterprise environment.\nStrong understanding of cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture, ideally across Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.\nGood knowledge of modern architecture patterns including microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture and Domain-Driven Design.\nExperience with application modernisation and cloud transformation programmes.\nStrong understanding of integration, security, resilience and application scalability.\nExperience working with Agile and DevOps delivery environments.\nExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.\nArchitecture qualifications such as TOGAF, alongside cloud or AI certifications, would be advantageous.\nOn Offer\nSenior architecture position within a large-scale international technology environment.\nOpportunity to influence major application modernisation and cloud transformation initiatives.\nExposure to modern cloud, AI, integration and enterprise architecture technologies.\nHybrid and flexible working.\nCompetitive remuneration package.\nPrivate medical insurance and additional wellbeing benefits.\nStrong pension and broader benefits offering.\nExcellent learning, development and long-term career progression opportunities.\nCpl are partnering with our client during an exciting period of technology transformation and investment.
