Here, you’ll contributeto outcomes that matter alongside team members committed to excellence and shared success.\nThe Role\nAs an Associate, Infrastructure, you will support the evaluation, execution, and ongoing management of direct infrastructure investments at CPP Investments. You will conduct investment research, develop financial models and valuation analyses, contribute to investment recommendations, and support transaction execution and portfolio management activities. You will also work with investment teams and portfolio companies to identify and advance value creation opportunities.\nThe Team\nCPP Investments’ Infrastructure division invests directly in large-scale infrastructure businesses with the objective of delivering defensive, long-term returns, inflation protection, and limited substitution risk. The division takes an active, thematic investment approach across risk profiles, structures, and geographies.\nThe Infrastructure team invests across sectors including regulated utilities, transportation, telecommunications, data centres, and energy. With more than 50 professionals across six global offices, the team manages a portfolio of over 30 direct investments valued at approximately C$60 billion.\nAccountabilities\nResearch and evaluate infrastructure investment opportunities, including investment merits, risks, expected returns, industry dynamics, regulatory considerations, and financial performance.\nDevelop and maintain financial models and conduct valuation analyses to support investment decisions.\nSupport due diligence processes, including reviewing legal, accounting, strategic, environmental, and other third-party assessments.\nEngage with company management teams to assess business performance, strategy, outlook, and industry developments.\nPrepare investment analyses, recommendations, and presentations for investment committees.\nSupport transaction execution, lead selected acquisition workstreams, and coordinate with investment partners and external advisors.\nMonitor portfolio company performance, support valuation reviews, and contribute to identifying and implementing value creation initiatives.\nWhat You Bring\nUndergraduate degree or college diploma in a relevant field.\nExperience aligned with an Associate-level investment role, including exposure to acquisitions, due diligence, and/or asset management.\nStrong financial modelling, valuation, investment research, and analytical skills.\nAbility to assess complex information, develop actionable insights, and approach challenges creatively.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\nAn advanced degree or CFA designation is considered an asset.\nYou are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.\nWe provide colleagues with cutting-edge AI tools, dedicated learning time, and practical support to help them deliver with greater impact.\nInclusion & Accessibility\nCPP Investments is committed to equitable access to employment and building a workforce that reflects diverse talent and perspectives.
