Here, you’ll contributeto outcomes that matter alongside team members committed to excellence and shared success.\nThe Role\nReporting to the Managing Director, Subsidiary and Sustainability Reporting, you will lead CPP Investments’ group company financial reporting, legal entity management, subsidiary audits, and corporate accounting activities.\nYou will oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls across global group companies, while strengthening governance, financial integrity, and operational efficiency. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will lead strategic initiatives, develop a high-performing team, and support scalable processes that enable CPP Investments’ investment activities.The role is responsible for strong governance, regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and operational risk management across CPP Investments’ global group companies, while enabling scalable, efficient, and well-controlled structures that support investment activities.\nThe Team\nThe Finance function supports CPP Investments’ financial integrity through accounting, reporting, governance, and effective financial controls. Within Finance, the Subsidiary and Sustainability Reporting team supports group company financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit management, working with stakeholders across the organization to maintain accurate and timely financial information.\nAccountabilities\nLead and develop a collaborative team of finance and accounting professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.\nOversee the preparation and delivery of annual financial statements, regulatory filings, and periodic compliance reporting for CPP Investments’ global group companies, including Canadian and U.S. surveys.\nManage external audit relationships, coordinate annual subsidiary audits, and resolve complex accounting and financial reporting matters.\nStrengthen financial governance, internal controls, and reporting processes to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial information.\nOversee corporate accounting activities, including capital assets, intercompany service level agreements, prepaid expenses, and other corporate assets.\nLead the monthly general ledger close process, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.\nLead strategic projects and process improvements, integrating stakeholder needs, managing change, and supporting scalable and efficient operations.\nWhat You Bring\nAn undergraduate degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.\n8+ years of financial reporting experience within investment management, pension funds, financial services, or a related industry.\nAdvanced knowledge of corporate, financial, and regulatory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.\nStrong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal controls over financial reporting; knowledge of U.S. GAAP is an asset.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop diverse teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nStrong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project leadership capabilities; experience using generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT or Copilot, and automation is an asset.\nYou are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.\nWe provide colleagues with cutting-edge AI tools, dedicated learning time, and practical support to help them deliver with greater impact.\nInclusion & Accessibility\nCPP Investments is committed to equitable access to employment and building a workforce that reflects diverse talent and perspectives.
