Let’s just say: we deliver great shots while having fun!\n\nWhat we need \nCrafty Apes is seeking a Compositing Supervisor to manage compositing teams, produce high-quality visual effects results, and ensure colour continuity across various shows and formats. The role requires expert knowledge of Nuke and 3D packages, along with a proven track record of delivering photo-real work with quick turnarounds. This supervisor must be able to develop workflow and pipeline strategies, effectively communicate and delegate compositing needs to the team, and manage administrative duties such as mentoring artists and monitoring shot progress, all while maintaining a highly professional demeanor. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong artistic skills, effective problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and time management skills, especially when juggling many shots to meet tight deadlines.\n\nWhat you would do \nCommunicate and delegate the compositing needs of the show to the team in order to ensure that the quality of work is of the highest of standards.\nDevelop workflow and pipeline strategies in order to ensure proper workflow methodology for all artists.\nDisplay a thorough understanding of the process combined with relevant artistic skills.\nCompetent user of Nuke with a proven track record delivering photo-real work with quick turnarounds.\nAbility to juggle many shots at once in order to meet show deadlines.\nEffective problem-solving skills.\nAbility to take direction from the VFX Supervisor.\nManage both hands-on operation of a workstation as well as the administration duties, including mentoring artists, monitoring shot progress, monitoring show resource usage, and gauging deliverables with Production Management.\nMaintain a highly professional demeanor and level of diplomacy.\n What you need \nBachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree preferred, but not required.
