Keep on reading!\nRequirements\nAbout the job:\nAs a Data Solution Architect at Craftzing, you are the bridge between business ambition and technical reality. You think along with business stakeholders, but above all you translate their needs into concrete data solution designs and refine them together with data and application specialists.\nWhat sets you apart is your independence. You stay technology- and vendor-agnostic, and you see the whole data landscape instead of a single vendor's corner of it. You combine deep technical expertise with a consulting mindset: you think long-term, make decisive choices, and explain the why behind them to everyone from engineers to C-level.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nThink along with business stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges and constraints.\n\nTranslate business and functional requirements into clear, end-to-end data solution designs and architecture schemas.\n\nRefine those designs together with data and application specialists into concrete, plannable work.\n\nZoom out to see the bigger picture and make architecture decisions in the client's best interest, independent of any single vendor.\n\nJudge when to engage a specific platform or vendor and when to step back and run a market evaluation (build vs. buy, selecting the right data platform for the need).\n\nMake and document architecture decisions, balancing scalability, security, performance, cost and data quality.\n\nDesign API-driven and integration approaches across applications, services, data sources and third-party systems.\n\nSafeguard non-functional requirements and data governance throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nTranslate complex technical topics into clear language for business and C-level stakeholders.\n\nIdentify technical risks and dependencies early, and propose pragmatic mitigations.\n\nWho we're looking for:\nA strong architect with sharp execution skills and a healthy dose of pragmatism.\n\n7+ years of experience in data engineering and/or architecture, with a solid track record in a data solution or technical architect role.\n\nTechnology- and vendor-agnostic by instinct: broad familiarity across the landscape (data platforms, data lakes, cloud providers, warehouses, integration) without being tied to a single vendor.\n\nAble to zoom out, weigh build vs. buy, and run a market evaluation when the situation calls for it.\n\nStrong command of data architecture, integration patterns and API-driven design.\n\nAble to think along with business stakeholders and refine solutions with data and application specialists into plannable work.\n\nExcellent communication skills: you can hold the attention of C-level stakeholders and unite teams around a shared technical direction.\n\nFamiliarity with scrum and working in an agile environment.\n\nFluent in Dutch and English.
