Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!\nJob Summary:\nThe Export Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and administering all export compliance activities for the assigned site. This role ensures strict adherence to U.S. export regulations and company policies through effective oversight of licensing, documentation, internal controls, training, auditing, and issue resolution. Responsibilities include conducting export jurisdiction and classification determinations, reviewing engineering change orders (ECOs) and product modifications for compliance impacts, managing export-related controls, and performing day-to-day transactional activities that support compliant order processing. These transactional duties include reviewing and releasing export holds, performing restricted-party screenings, and validating export data to ensure timely and compliant shipments. The Export Compliance Manager serves as the primary on-site compliance resource, supports group and corporate initiatives, and is expected to be appointed as an Empowered Official under ITAR regulations.\nEssential Functions:\nCompliance Guidance and Training\nProvide expert export compliance consultation to engineering, quality, operations, sales, contracts, HR, and other stakeholders.\nDevelop, deliver, and maintain training programs and records to support site-wide regulatory compliance.\nSite Compliance Oversight\nServe as the primary point of contact for site-level export compliance inquiries and requirements.\nEnsure compliance with EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and related regulations, maintaining accurate and complete documentation.\nInterpret and communicate regulatory requirements to internal teams.\nReview engineering change orders (ECOs) and product design changes to identify and address potential compliance impacts, including updates to jurisdiction, classification, and licensing requirements.\nExport Hold Review and Release\nReview and release export-related holds on orders, shipments, and transactions.\nValidate regulatory requirements prior to release and document all resolution actions.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely processing.\nGroup and Corporate Program Support\nImplement group and corporate-level export compliance initiatives at the site.\nCollaborate with peers across Aerospace & Electronics (A&E) locations to ensure alignment and consistency in compliance practices.\nCollaboration and Knowledge Sharing\nParticipate in group and company-wide meetings, calls, and initiatives, ensuring timely completion of follow-up actions.\nShare best practices across sites to support continuous improvement of compliance programs.\nAuditing and Incident Management\nConduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the site’s export compliance program.\nInvestigate potential compliance incidents, coordinate with legal counsel as needed, and document findings and corrective actions.\nOversee denied-party screenings, end-user verifications, screening records, and anti-boycott compliance.\nEnsure appropriate training for sales, shipping, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders.\nLicensing and Documentation Management\nPrepare, submit, and monitor export license applications and other required regulatory filings.\nManage system access controls and maintain compliance-related records.\nPerform and maintain export jurisdiction and classification determinations (e.g., ECCN, USML) for parts, assemblies, technical data, software, and services, including updates driven by engineering changes or new product introductions.\nMinimum Qualifications :\nExperience: 5+ years of experience in export compliance or related regulatory functions (ITAR, EAR, OFAC).\nKnowledge: Strong working knowledge of U.S. export control regulations and compliance requirements.\nSkills: Strong communication (written and verbal), training, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
