Located in the Northern California foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range at a new, state-of-the-art 65,000 sq. ft. facility, start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics.\nJob Summary:\nThe Material Handler is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies. The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals.\nEssential Functions:\nMaintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.\n\nMove materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment\n\nUnpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s)\n\nRead work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work\n\nIssue critical materials to production cells\n\nComplete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as needed\n\nRespond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner\n\nAid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks\n\nChange part stocking methods to better facilitate production needs\n\nPerform root cause investigation on variances in cycle counts\n\nEnsure compliance with export compliance rules\n\nAny other task assigned by supervisor or management\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nExperience: 1+ years of relevant manufacturing experience\n\nKnowledge: Warehousing and materials; Familiar with lean principles\n\nSkills/Abilities: Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks; Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions; Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office\n\nEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent\n\nEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
