You will work within a small team of engineers and collaborate closely with other business functions to deliver New Product Development (NPD) and Value Engineering (VE) projects that support energy efficiency and smart building strategies.\nPrinciple Responsibilities:\nReport to a Senior Engineer and contribute to a small, dynamic team delivering NPD and VE projects to agreed timelines, focused on control valves and associated controls and systems for HVAC applications.\nWork on multiple projects simultaneously, supporting team members to achieve targets.\nDemonstrate a passion for innovation, research, and development in electromechanical systems.\nCreate and present concept designs for actuation and control solutions, converting ideas into practical designs.\nAct as a technical point of contact for site issues and provide high-level support to customers and the Sales team.\nSupport engagement with customers to gain market insights and support new product development.\nProficient in 3D CAD (preferably Creo/Pro Engineer) and capable of working with 2D and legacy data systems.\nUtilize controls-based systems and architecture to design, implement, and validate integrated solutions for HVAC applications.\nApply production engineering knowledge for components such as castings, machined parts, and plastic moldings.\nParticipate in DFM, DFMEA and PFMEA reviews, and other associated tools included within IATF 16949, to ensure robust design processes.\nHands-on involvement in test program planning and execution with Test Technicians, including prototype evaluation and performance validation.\nManage project files to support the NPD stage-gate process.\nRecommend and implement improvements in test equipment and processes to enhance development efficiency and data quality.\nDevelop control logic for actuator and valve systems to ensure optimal performance and integration with BMS.\nEstablish customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications.\nQualifications/Experience/Training:\nBeng, HND or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or closely related discipline).\nExperience in electromechanical design, preferably within HVAC or Building Services.\nProficient in 3D CAD (preferably Creo/Pro Engineer) and capable of working with 2D and legacy data systems.\nExperience with Tridium Niagara Framework or similar building automation systems is desirable\nUnderstanding of hardware circuit design, including PCB layout and component selection for control systems.\nFamiliarity with controls-based platforms and hardware, such as Raspberry Pi for prototyping and development.\nKnowledge of fluid handling systems, control valves, and actuators desirable\nWorking knowledge of low-voltage systems (12V/24V) and wiring diagrams.\nFamiliarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus) is highly desirable.\nProven track record in NPD and innovation, working within cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and budget.\nCompetent in MS Office tools;\nPersonal Characteristics:\nProfessional, organized and motivated Design Engineer that can work in multifunctional teams with a positive attitude.\nPassionate about innovation and energy-efficient solutions for modern buildings.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to balance performance, risk, and time constraints.\nProactive problem solver with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.\nSelf-motivated and accountable, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.\n#LI-MW1\n#BSU","description_format":"text","description_chars":3890,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Professional Services","Transportation & Logistics","Supply Chain","Nonprofits & Foundations"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-10T21:15:59Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
