contribute their different backgrounds, cultures and experiences to our business.\nPRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:\nElectrical Maintenance (60%)\nPerform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on electrical systems including motors, controls, PLC-driven equipment, HMI displays, CNC machinery, drives, sensors, instrumentation Robotics and integrated hydraulic/servo systems.\nConduct preventive and predictive electrical maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.\nInstallation and maintenance of all Site electrical equipment to comply with the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.\nAssignment and completion of planned maintenance and routine testing work for safety devices.\nDiagnose electrical faults, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.\nRead and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and wiring drawings.\nSupport installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment or upgrades.\nMechanical Maintenance (40%)\nCarry out mechanical maintenance on equipment including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, conveyors, pneumatic/hydraulic valves and mechanical assemblies.\nPerform routine lubrication, alignment, adjustment, and replacement of mechanical components.\nAssist with dismantling and rebuilding machinery for planned overhauls or improvement projects.\nRead and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, and technical manuals.\nSupport optimisation of mechanical performance through reliability improvements and continuous improvement activities.\nBe a part of ad hoc projects, including administrative procedures as may be required from time to time.\nEnsure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with the company’s procedures and safe working practices.\nRespond to breakdowns quickly and safely to minimise downtime.\nWork cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and production teams to solve equipment issues.\nSupport cross functional training in the maintenance department.\nParticipate in risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permit-to-work processes.\nContribute to stock management of critical spares and maintenance consumables.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen events, 5S, lean practices, reliability improvements, etc.).\nEnsure all maintenance tasks meet internal & statutory standards / requirements.\nEnsure contractor compliance with site H&S regulations.\nTo ensure that all periodic inspections & testing, statutory or otherwise, are carried out and documented.\nProvide advice and electrical expertise to support business decisions.\nComplete accident investigations and implement corrective actions.\nAssist in the development and implementation of a Total Productive Maintenance system.\nKeeping records and maintaining safely any logbooks and data relating to plant and equipment.\nTo carry out minor site repairs to buildings and infrastructure.\nQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE :\nNVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.\nA working knowledge and understanding of all electrical and electronic equipment on site including any future equipment when required.\nCertificates in BS 7671 18th edition wirings regs, C&G 2391 inspection & testing.\nStrong competency in electrical fault finding, testing, and maintenance of industrial equipment.\nWorking knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and general mechanical practices.\nExperience with PLC-controlled machinery (diagnostics preferred).\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced plant environment.\nStrong safety mindset and knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety standards.\nTime served Electrician with hands on ability supported by excellent mechanical skills\nWorking knowledge of Total Preventive
