This role requires strong backend engineering expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with quick release cycles.\nDay in the Life: \nDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java-based enterprise applications\nBuild and enhance backend services, APIs, and microservices architecture\nCollaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams, including remote teams\nWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards\nParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions\nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability\nEnsure application security, scalability, and high availability\nSupport continuous integration and deployment processes\nContribute to code reviews and mentor junior developers where required\nWho You Are:\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n6+ years of experience in Java backend development for enterprise applications\nStrong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture\nHands-on experience with Apache Kafka for building scalable, real-time data pipelines an event-driven microservices\nExperience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems\nGood understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling concepts\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred\nStrong understanding of software design patterns and system architecture\n Preferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus\nExperience working in Agile development environments\nExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively with distributed/remote teams\nWork Environment & Expectations:\nBased in Bangalore, working from the HSR Layout office \nWillingness to work alternate Saturdays \nComfortable with dynamic workloads and flexible work hours, typical of a startup environment \nSpeed, adaptability, and ownership mindset are essential \nCrashPlan values workplace diversity and ensuring an environment of mutual respect.
