This role underwrites new and renewal business, provides technical expertise, and supports the coordination and development of underwriting teams. The core function of this role centers on balancing individual underwriting responsibility with team leadership, ensuring consistent execution, compliance, and alignment with organizational underwriting standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nFollowingis a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.\nUnderwrite new and renewal business, including evaluating risk,determiningterms and conditions, and making decisions within delegated authority\n\nManage underwriting workflow through the full lifecycle, including submissions, binding, policy servicing, and documentationin accordance withcompany and regulatory standards\n\nMonitor production metrics, including retention, spread of risk, and underwriting performance, to support portfolio quality and predictability\n\nReview and resolve underwriting issues, including inspection findings, servicing requests, and coverage adjustments tomaintainrisk accuracy\n\nCollaborate with producers, agents, and internal teams to ensuretimelycommunication and effective execution of underwriting decisions\n\nProvide leadership and coordination across underwriting teams, ensuring alignment, communication, and adherence to policies and procedures\n\nMentor and support the development of less experienced underwriters through technical guidance and knowledge sharing\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,skilland/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nBachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred\n\nExperiencewithinunderwriting, including multi-line or specialty insurance products\n\nDemonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to underwriting performance outcomes\n\nExperience providing guidance or mentorship within a team environment preferred\n\nCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nAppropriate state-specific insurance licenserequired.
