The Underwriting Associate supports the underwriting team by reviewing insurance applications, analyzing basic risk factors, and assisting in preparing policy documentation to ensure adherence to company guidelines and underwriting standards. This entry-level role focuses on administrative and analytical tasks to facilitate accurate and timely underwriting decisions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review insurance submissions for completeness and accuracy.
- Assistsenior underwriters in gathering and verifying underwriting data.
- Prepare andmaintainpolicy files and documentation in compliance with guidelines.
- Conduct preliminary risk assessments and input data into rating systems.
- Communicate with brokers and internal teams to obtain missing information.
- Support the underwriting team with administrative tasks such as preparing quotes and endorsements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance, ora relatedfield.
- 0-2 years of experience in insurance, underwriting support, or administrative roles.
- Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and risk assessment preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Attention to detail for reviewing and validating documentation.
- Basic analytical skills to support risk evaluation.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
