This role serves as a trusted advisor to Program Leaders by providing complex financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, and accounting support. The Financial Business Partner is expected to interpret business performance, identify key trends and risks, influence financial decisions, and recommend actions that support business objectives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.\nIndependently serve as the primary finance owner and point of contact for the assigned business segment, unit, or vertical.\nDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of the program’s financial structure, revenue drivers, expense trends, profitability levers, and performance objectives.\nPrepare, interpret, and present complex monthly financial results, including revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, trends, risks, opportunities, and other key performance measures.\nPerform complex variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior periods, and business objectives; research significant discrepancies, assess root causes, and communicate actionable insights.\nMaintain forecasts, planning and operational metrics focusing on defined KPI’s.\nAct as a financial advisor to Program Leaders by reviewing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, influencing decisions, and recommending actions to improve business outcomes.\nSupport daily and month-end accounting activities, including bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.\nPrepare monthly financial packages, variance explanations, executive-ready insights, and other management reporting to support leader decision-making.\nSupport financial close activities and validate that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts, periods, business units, and programs.\nParticipate in finance-related system testing, process improvements, and automation initiatives.\nMaintain process documentation, reconciliation support, and control evidence; provide backup coverage and cross-training as needed.\nLead and support ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and business case development requested by Program Leaders or finance leadership.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work and educational experience.\nMinimum five (5) years of progressively responsible finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis experience, including exposure to business partnering or leader-facing financial support.\nAbility to create, manage, analyze, and interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear reporting and business recommendations.\nDemonstrated experience partnering with business leaders or operational stakeholders to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, challenge assumptions, and support data-driven decision-making.\nStrong working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, work independently with limited direction, exercise sound judgment, and provide timely, accurate financial insights in a fast-paced environment.\nFUNCTIONAL SKILLS\nA desire to work in a highly collaborative team environment.\nStrong analytical skills.\nEnergetic, self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated.\nExcellent organization and time management skills with a high degree of accuracy.\nDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and remain flexible.\nProficiency using Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nStrong communication, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to clearly present financial information, translate complex data into business insights, influence business partners, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.\nPREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:\nCertifications: CPA, CMA, or CFA\nAdvanced degree (Master’s, MBA, Finance/Accounting concentration)\nPrior experience in insurance or financial services\nProficiency using Power BI, database management, and SQL Server Reporting Services\nThe annual base salary for this position is $140000 - $160000.\nGeneral Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of CRC Group: At CRC Group, we're committed to supporting every aspect of teammates' well-being - physical, emotional, financial, social, and professional.
