Specific activities may change from time to time.\nKey Duties\nParticipate in IT projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.\n\nComplete assignments that assist the department in its mission while helping the intern learn more about the corporate environment.\n\nLearn about insurance, the industry workflow, and various divisions within the organization as assigned during the internship.\n\nGain analytical, technical, and decision-making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities.\n\nComplete all assigned training satisfactorily.\n\nNetwork with leaders, experienced teammates, and other interns to develop lasting professional connections.\n\nReceive formal and informal feedback throughout the program.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired Qualifications:\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nCompletion of at least sophomore-level coursework with strong academic performance leading towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or related field at an accredited college or university. Should include coursework in high level programming language, such as C#, Java or Python.\n\nShould have experience in JavaScript; C#.NET or similar programming experience is a plus.\n\nCoursework in key programming languages and data structures.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional composure.\n\nDemonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, e.g. Microsoft Office.\n\nEnthusiastic attitude\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nInterest in pursuing application development as a career.\n\nPrevious work experience or internship.\n\nDemonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.\n\nDemonstrated leadership aptitude.\n\nThis is a hybrid role with 1 day in the office in the Dallas location.
