This is a full-time leadership role responsible for owning monitoring design, driving platform decisions, and guiding engineering teams toward modern SRE practices.\nThis individual will act as the technical authority for monitoring and alerting, shaping how signals from Dynatrace flow into ServiceNow and enterprise messaging/paging platforms, and enabling a shift toward automated, intelligent, and self-healing operations.\nLocation: This role is hybrid based in Charlotte, NC.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Leadership & Decision-Making\nDefine and own the enterprise monitoring and SRE observability strategy\n\nServe as the subject matter expert for Dynatrace, ServiceNow integration, and alerting architecture\n\nEvaluate and recommend tooling, integration patterns, and platform direction\n\nDrive decisions on alerting philosophy, noise reduction, and signal quality improvement\n\nPlatform Ownership & Architecture\nArchitect and standardize end-to-end monitoring and SRE pipelines:\nDynatrace → ServiceNow incident lifecycle\n\nAlert correlation, deduplication, and prioritization\n\nIntegration with paging systems (PagerDuty, SMS, voice, Teams)\n\nEstablish best practices for:\nEvent ingestion and enrichment\n\nIncident routing and automated assignment\n\nIntegration with CMDB and service mapping\n\nSite Reliability Engineering (SRE) Leadership\nLead adoption of SRE principles, including:\nSLIs, SLOs, and error budgets\n\nReliability engineering practices across services\n\nProactive monitoring and resilience design\n\nChampion a shift from reactive operations to proactive reliability engineering\n\nInfluence application and platform teams to build observable, resilient systems by design\n\nAutomation & Self-Healing Enablement\nDrive development of automated remediation and self-healing capabilities\n\nLeverage Dynatrace workflows, Azure services, and automation frameworks to:\nReduce manual incident handling\n\nEliminate repeatable operational tasks\n\nMinimize unnecessary paging\n\nServiceNow & Observability Integration Leadership\nOwn integration between Dynatrace and ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM, including:\nIncident, Event Management, and CMDB alignment\n\nService mapping and dependency visibility\n\nGovernance for application/service tagging\n\nDefine standards for:\nAutomated incident creation and resolution\n\nPriority assignment and routing logic\n\nMonitoring-to-ITSM data synchronization\n\nTeam Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship across SRE, platform, and application teams\n\nAct as a central point of coordination between engineering, cloud, and ITSM teams\n\nLead workshops and working sessions to:\nDrive monitoring standardization\n\nAlign teams on reliability practices\n\nInfluence upstream architectural decisions\n\nOperational Excellence\nEstablish KPIs and drive improvement in:\nIncident response and resolution times\n\nAlert quality and paging effectiveness\n\nMonitoring coverage across critical services\n\nProvide leadership with clear visibility into service health and reliability trends\n\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, monitoring, or production engineering\n\nProven experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role\n\nDeep hands-on experience with:\nDynatrace (or equivalent observability platforms)\n\nMicrosoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity)\n\nServiceNow ITSM / ITOM (incident, event management, CMDB)\n\nDemonstrated ability to:\nDesign and lead enterprise monitoring/SRE architectures\n\nDrive platform and tooling decisions\n\nIntegrate observability, ITSM, and paging solutions\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience leading SRE or observability transformation initiatives\n\nStrong expertise with Dynatrace-ServiceNow integrations\n\nExperience modernizing or consolidating paging/on-call tooling\n\nFamiliarity with:\nAzure-based SRE tooling or AI-assisted operations\n\nAutomation frameworks (GitHub Actions, Runbooks, etc.)\n\nInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)\n\nSuccess Metrics\nReduction in alert noise and unnecessary paging\n\nImproved incident routing accuracy and MTTR\n\nIncreased adoption of self-healing and automated workflows\n\nStrong alignment between monitoring, CMDB, and service ownership\n\nEnterprise-wide adoption of SRE and monitoring standards\n\nGeneral Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of CRC Group: At CRC Group, we're committed to supporting every aspect of teammates' well-being - physical, emotional, financial, social, and professional.
