We want you to share that same\nambition.\nYou will also manage a team of technical direct reports, who are themselves working on\nclient projects, for whom you will provide actionable feedback, technical guidance and\nmentoring, fostering a continuous improvement, growth and consultancy mindset.\nYou will work with clients at every level to understand their problems, set expectations,\nand maximise business value, representing CreateFuture as an engagement lead.\nRole Requirements\nProven, hands-on technical leader delivering complex software.\nDemonstrate thought-leadership; supporting our clients and colleagues to\nunderstand, through modern technology and process, what is possible for their\nbusiness/craft.\nLine-manage a team of engineers while maintaining personal delivery\ncontributions.\nCommercial experience with .Net as well as Java\nor frontend).\nCommercial experience with at least one major cloud (Amazon Web Services,\nMicrosoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and modern infrastructure practices\n(containers, continuous integration/continuous delivery, infrastructure as code).\nStrong delivery fundamentals: estimation, planning, and risk/issue/dependency\nmanagement; escalates early with clear options and impacts.\nCommunicate designs and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical\nstakeholders.\nSkilled in difficult conversations and actionable feedback; sets clear standards and\nholds people accountable.\nDesirable:\nTailor ways of working (Scrum or Kanban) to context and drive continuous\nimprovement.\nExperience in change transformation projects that involved significant Artificial\nIntelligence adoption.\nBreadth across multiple languages or disciplines (e.g., Rust, test automation,\nDevOps/platform engineering).\nExperience across multiple clouds and cloud-native services.\nContribute to recruitment and pre-sales in a consultancy context.\nRepresent CreateFuture in the external tech community.\nRole Responsibilities\nTechnical leadership:\nCommunicate designs, trade-offs, and constraints in the context of client goals.\nLead architecture, solution design, and documentation; make pragmatic\ntechnology choices.\nContribute code where appropriate; set engineering standards; ensure reviews,\ntesting, and maintainability.\nTroubleshoot complex issues; drive root-cause fixes and follow-up actions.\nDelivery leadership:\nOwn technical outcomes: scope, estimate, plan, and track to agreed goals.\nHighlight risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate early with clear options,\nimpacts, and recommendations.\nEnsure actionable backlogs and realistic plans; communicate timelines and team\nshape needs.\nPeople leadership (enable, unblock, hold to account):\nGuide direct reports to set themselves clear personal goals, and hold them\naccountable for realising them.\nProactively remove impediments across technical, process, and organisational\nboundaries.\nHold colleagues accountable for commitments and standards; address\nperformance issues promptly.\nProvide targeted guidance and feedback; recognise achievements.\nLine-manage direct reports; run core rituals (team meetings, 1:1s, objectives,\nreviews).\nContribute to hiring.\nClient leadership:\nBuild trusted relationships at all levels; translate business needs into technical\nplans.\nManage expectations and scope; articulate value and trade-offs; identify follow-on\nopportunities.\nRepresent CreateFuture as the engagement lead.\nOptional/community:\nContribute to delivery practices and standards\nContribute to pre-sales.\nWhat we’ll offer you:\nWe trust people to do their best work.
