This person is responsible for assuring the quality of various applications, including developing appropriate testing strategies.\nThis individual works in partnership with developers, business analysts, and project managers to verify the conformance of solutions to requirements. The role relies upon test automation tools.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for creating and working with automation frameworks to perform testing on applications through automated scripts \nResponsible for test planning, test automation, test environment setup/teardown, exploratory testing, defect logging and verification \nResponsible for creating test strategy, automation setups based on project requirements for automating testing efforts, regression, performance, load testing, etc.\nReviews client requirements and provides feedback on their testability \nReviews code/scripts/work done by other automation resources and provides feedback \nReviews and re-evaluates the test strategies to adjust to changing risks, shifting priorities, and schedules \nOversees testing of software features: implementation and execution of functional, regression, and acceptance tests through automation \nOversees the creation and maintenance of automated test data and test documentation \nLeads/mentors test engineers and shares knowledge to make sure QA staff meet the technical qualifications required for their positions \nParticipates in recruiting new staff, conducting interviews, and evaluating potential candidates\nWorks with clients to evaluate and implement new technologies, offering strategies for improving their testing processes \nAssists executive staff in setting the direction for assuring the quality of the software we produce within the organization \nCollaborates with various teams to resolve bugs and issues identified during testing \nAssists in coaching junior staff, providing feedback, delegating tasks, and helping them develop testing skills \nDocuments all work performed \nThe ideal candidate for the position should have the following qualifications and skills:\nTechnical Qualifications:\nExperience in testing various application features, services, and user interfaces\nExperience in test automation and creating repeatable, maintainable, automated test suites\nExperience in performance testing, SQL queries, Selenium, Shell programming, MS Test, etc. \nExperience working with Selenium, Test-Complete, QTP, Performance and Web Service testing tools - JMeter, Soap UI and any other tools etc. \nExperience in communicating with clients\nUnderstanding MS Test, NUnit, Junit, TestNG, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Chai, Mocha, and/or any other Unit testing framework \nUnderstanding of test-driven development & behavior driven development\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle and best practices\nUnderstanding of Agile and Waterfall processes\nUnderstanding of user interface design\nKnowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies\nFamiliarity with various defect management systems \nFamiliarity with working with AI tools \nPersonal Skills:\nAbility to communicate technical aspects to people with a non-IT background\nAbility to act as a liaison between QA and development teams\nAbility to ensure that solutions developed by technical teams fit the business needs\nAbility to offer alternative approaches to achieve the client’s goals\nAbility to analyze complex situations and manage all variables to achieve optimal solutions\nAbility to act on the information provided or get the information needed so that decisions for project implementations can be made quickly and effectively\nAbility to be a leader by example\nAbility to define and prioritize short-term and long-term objectives for the teams and make necessary corrections under changing circumstances\nEducation and Work Experience:\nBackground in CS, IT, or related scientific discipline\nThe candidate should have over 7 years of working experience or equivalent education and experience","description_format":"text","description_chars":4066,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Information Technology","Software","IT Outsourcing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T03:11:46Z"}],"liveness":{"score":74,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.818,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":13,"expected_fill_days":34,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/creative-capsule-qa-automation-associate-tech-lead","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/creative-capsule-qa-automation-associate-tech-lead.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T04:13:32Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
