You will work closely with network engineering, IT, and DevOps teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement defences, and respond to incidents playing a key role in keeping the organisation and its customers secure.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n Monitor network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to security incidents and anomalies\n\n Design, implement, and maintain security controls across network infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation)\n\n Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with relevant teams\n\n Perform security reviews of new network deployments, architecture changes, and third-party integrations\n\n Develop and maintain incident response plans, and lead investigations when incidents occur\n\n Manage identity and access controls, including least-privilege policies and MFA enforcement\n\n Support compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS as applicable) through audits and documentation\n\n Keep up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities (CVEs), and industry best practices relevant to network/telecom environments\n\n Contribute to security awareness training for internal staff\n\n Collaborate with network engineers to ensure security is built into infrastructure design (secure-by-design principles)\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\n\n 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity, network security, or security engineering role\n\n Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs)\n\n Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Splunk, or similar)\n\n Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Nmap, Burp Suite)\n\n Experience with incident response and forensic investigation processes\n\n Understanding of common security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)\n\n Scripting ability for automation and analysis (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)\n\n Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals (AWS, Azure, or
