We practice servant leadership and believe that by focusing on the success of our clients, team members, and partners, we all achieve greater success.\nCredence is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to support secure AWS hosting environments for Department of War customers.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role that supports the broader cloud hosting lifecycle. The position includes AWS infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, container platforms, automation, technical solutioning, troubleshooting, monitoring, security, and operational support.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, implementing, automating, and troubleshooting AWS-based environments. Candidates should be comfortable working across infrastructure, deployments, container platforms, security controls, and customer requirements.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nDesign, implement, operate, and improve secure AWS hosting solutions supporting development, test, and production environments.\nCollaborate with Cloud Engineers, Solutions Architects, cybersecurity professionals, application teams, and customer stakeholders to develop and implement technical solutions.\nTranslate technical and customer requirements into practical cloud infrastructure, deployment, and hosting solutions.\nBuild, maintain, and improve reusable Infrastructure as Code patterns using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, test, security scanning, deployment, and release workflows.\nDeploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Docker, Amazon ECS/Fargate, and Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.\nSupport container platforms, including workload deployment, configuration, networking, storage, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nDevelop scripts, tools, and automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or similar technologies to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.\nConvert recurring operational issues into reusable automation, platform capabilities, or standardized deployment patterns.\nSupport AWS-hosted environments as needed, including troubleshooting, incident response, planned maintenance, technical escalations, and production support.\nTroubleshoot infrastructure, operating system, networking, permissions, database, pipeline, container, and deployment issues.\nSupport cloud platform services related to monitoring, logging, access control, configuration management, patching, backup, and security.\nWork with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure and automation align with customer, federal, and organizational requirements.\nResearch and recommend tools, technologies, and engineering practices that improve platform reliability, automation, security, and developer experience.\nCreate and maintain technical designs, implementation plans, deployment procedures, runbooks, reusable patterns, and operational documentation.\nParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule, typically approximately one week every four months.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.\nCompTIA Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain it within the first 60 days.\nAWS certification, or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days.\nAt least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure automation, systems engineering, or a related technical field.\nHands-on experience designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting AWS environments.\nExperience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, security groups, RDS, EFS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Systems Manager.\nHands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or another Infrastructure as Code technology.\nExperience developing, maintaining, or troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar platforms.\nProduction experience with Docker and at least one container platform, such as Amazon ECS Fargate or Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.\nExperience developing automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or a similar scripting language.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure, deployments, networking, permissions, and containerized workloads.\nAbility to contribute to technical solution design and communicate recommendations, tradeoffs, and implementation approaches.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical processes and communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with both Amazon ECS/Fargate and Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.\nExperience with Terraform modules, remote state, workspaces, providers, and reusable Infrastructure as Code patterns.\nExperience with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, merge requests, pull requests, and code reviews.\nExperience with Kubernetes tools and concepts such as Helm, namespaces, ingress, service networking, storage, autoscaling, and container registries.\nExperience supporting secure environments subject to federal, Public Trust, NIST, DoD, or similar compliance requirements.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.\nExperience with AWS networking, load balancing, DNS, identity, security controls, or hybrid connectivity.\nExperience administering Linux or Windows servers in cloud or enterprise environments.\nExperience with Active Directory or LDAP-based identity solutions.\nExperience integrating generative AI services, APIs, or AI-assisted tools into cloud applications, engineering workflows, automation, or operational platforms.\nAWS Associate, Specialty, or Professional-level certification.\nExperience leading technical solutioning discussions with customers or stakeholders.\nCompensation\nThe anticipated salary range for this position is
