We encourage employees to push boundaries and help solve critical, world-changing federal challenges.\nPosition Summary\nCredence has an immediate need for a Principal Technical Manager at Robins AFB, GA. The Principal Technical Manager shall support the assigned IPT and is responsible for the systems engineering activities for the assigned program or product. Relevant experience includes duties related to: AF LCM of weapon systems or weapon system products, identifying technical requirements and deliverables for weapon systems, and validating and verifying product deliveries to ensure adherence of the product to identified requirements. Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and AF LCM processes is required. Broad knowledge of weapon systems operational procedures, techniques, climatic and environmental factors that impact fielded performance is required. Knowledge of regulations, policies, and operating instructions as they pertain to the preparation of technical documents, technical data, and systems engineering execution is required.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:\nSupport assigned programs and products with respect to systems engineering activities including development, production, test, and technical management.\nIdentify and document technical requirements for weapon system products\nDevelop technical/engineering and test/verification plans which specify the objectives and means to fulfill mission and/or system requirements\nApplication of appropriate systems engineering principles and broad technical knowledge in interpreting and flowing-down capability needs/requirements, evaluating design approaches and trade-offs, and test/verification strategies for the delivery of operational capability within the limits imposed by life cycle constraints such as cost and schedule needs \nEvaluate technical risks, makes independent technical decisions and/or recommends sound technical options to optimize systems performance and acquisition schedules\nEnsure continued OSS&E for assigned systems\nProvide technical inputs for new development product support operational needs \nProvides system engineering review and analysis of assigned systems throughout the conceptual, demonstration and validation, engineering, manufacturing development, production and development and Operations and Support (O&S) phase \nDevelop and/or originate new features in addition to improving, extending, or validating currently known percents, data, methods, or techniques \nAssist in translating DoD user requirements into system requirements, which is used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment \nReview overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability) requirements and assist in the development of system specifications and system architecture products \nPerform independent analysis of proposed engineering changes, specifications and provide the Government with their evaluation and recommendations on the acceptability of vendor proposals \nSupport life cycle cost evaluations on proposed systems and components \nAssist with test and evaluation support including test planning, test conduct and evaluation of test results against operational requirements to include participating in ITTs, TRRs, and other related system or program events and assisting in the determination of capability and availability of major DoD and civilian test resources and facilities \nAssist in scheduling and securing required test resources in support of project and program office objectives, and monitor, assess status, and report on T&E efforts of all types of systems \nAssist in designing, planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and documentation during any phase of test and evaluation programs, including applicable certifications and procedures, to assess the performance of systems, subsystems, components, and equipment \nSupport the development of system and program’s technical plans to include the review of technical documents, participation on program or system Working Groups, tracking status of risk and issue resolution, review of test plans, procedures, and data, and support of special studies to define alternative approaches\nCoordinate and manage acquisition technical processes\nRequirements\nActive TS/SCI security clearance required. \nMaster’s or doctorate degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD \nOr, bachelor’s degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD\nOr, 30 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.\nExperience managing technical processes related to DoD LCM activities is required (CM, risk management, technical DM, integrity programs, quality management, performance improvement programs, requirements management, or other systems engineering processes)\nRecommended Professional Qualifications\n Systems Engineering Qualification:\nSystems Engineering Certificate or Degree from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited school, or\nDAWIA APDP Certification in the Engineering & Technical Management functional area, Level II, or\nInternational Council on Systems Engineering certification: Associate Systems Engineering Professional, or Certified Systems Engineering Professional, or Expert Systems Engineering Professional certification, or demonstrate a consecutive twelve months of DoD acquisition work experience, or\nCompletion of DAU credential program CLCL 005 Supportability & Design Interface Credential\n Acquisition Qualification:\nDefense Acquisition University (DAU) credential program, CACQ 010 Foundational Acquisition Intelligence Credential; or\nDefense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), any level, or\nA degree or certificate
