The person will assist in the technical solution and development / implementation of solutions that leverage ServiceNow modules in custom scoped application development to migrate legacy applications to the DLA Enterprise ServiceNow platform. As a Senior ServiceNow Service Portal Developer, you will deliver products and services defined throughout the lifecycle of the project and resolve post-production deficiencies. You will also manage and participate in designing and developing solutions using various ServiceNow modules, portals and features including Service Portal, CSM, APO, Integration Hub, Flows, Business Rules, Script Includes, Service Catalog, Asset Management, CMDB, AI Agents, and other ServiceNow modules, as required.\nResponsibilities\nService Portal & Custom Widget Engineering: Architect, build, and optimize custom Service Portals and portal components using standard ServiceNow front-end practices (AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SASS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript), delivering intuitive, responsive, and accessible user experiences.\nCustom Widget Development: Design and configure complex, reusable custom Portal widgets leveraging server scripts, client controllers, HTML templates, and CSS to extend core ServiceNow functionality beyond out-of-the-box capabilities.\nEnd-to-End Solutions & Integration: Lead technical implementation for custom web interfaces, integrating Service Portals seamlessly with back-end workflows\nEnsure development aligns with ServiceNow design patterns and best practices and is reusable, reliable, and adaptive.\nUnderstanding business context and processes to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable ServiceNow implementation.\nEnsure that platform capabilities are efficiently and effectively utilized to drive expected business outcomes\nRequirements elicitation, design, development, testing, training, and implementation support\nManage ServiceNow solution design, development, testing, and go-live support.\nWork with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify and refine data requirements\nWork closely with the ServiceNow technical team to convert requirements into design and migration steps\nUnderstanding business context and how to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable ServiceNow implementation.\nAbility to maintain and develop scoped applications\nWorking with project resources to define sustainment governance and processes as part of operational transition.\nProvide guidance to convert requirements into design and migration steps.\nProficient with business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, flow designer, and notifications.\nRequirements\n7-10+ years of ServiceNow experience\nUS Citizenship with ability to obtain a secret clearance is required\nBS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline\nSolid understanding of ServiceNow design patterns, best practices, architecture, data model, and core concepts.\nSolid understanding of ACLs\nFosters a customer-focused environment.\nCommunicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences at all organizational levels in government.\nEliminates obstacles, gets results, have a clear, positive, and direct impact on business performance.\nA problem solver and critical thinker\nPrior experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and promotion into production.\nProficient in AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XM\nSalary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 annually.
