Enterprise Architect

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and drive the technology architecture strategy across the organisation. The role will work closely with engineering, product, business, and leadership teams to design scalable, secure, resilient, and future-ready technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in software engineering and architecture, with strong expertise in Java-based enterprise applications and preferably a background in Banking, NBFC, Financial Services, FinTech, or BFSI environments. This is a hands-on architecture leadership role requiring the ability to translate business requirements into robust technology strategies while maintaining architectural governance across multiple systems and platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Define and own the enterprise technology architecture roadmap aligned with business and digital transformation objectives.
• Design and review enterprise-wide application, solution, integration, and platform architectures.
• Lead architecture decisions for highly scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance systems.
• Provide technical direction across Java/Spring Boot-based applications and distributed systems.
• Define architecture standards, principles, design patterns, technology standards, and best practices.
• Drive modernisation of legacy applications and transition towards modern, scalable, cloud-ready architectures.
• Design and govern microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, integration platforms, and distributed systems.
• Work closely with engineering teams on HLD/architecture reviews, technology selection, and technical roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements around security, scalability, availability, performance, maintainability, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain architecture governance, including architecture review processes and technical standards.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of overall experience in software engineering, technology architecture, or solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, preferably Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of Microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience designing large-scale enterprise applications and highly available systems.
• Strong understanding of system design, architecture patterns, integration architecture, and API architecture.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
• Good understanding of messaging/event streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, and modern software delivery practices.
• Good understanding of application security, authentication/authorization, data security, and enterprise security principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to influence technology decisions at senior levels.
