backend architecture and core platform services\nLead technical initiatives from solution design and estimation through production release\nDevelop new functionality, improve existing systems, and reduce technical debt\nEnsure system scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability\nOptimize databases, APIs, caching layers, and background processing\nIdentify and resolve production incidents, bottlenecks, and technical risks\nParticipate in architectural decision-making and long-term platform evolution\nConduct code reviews and maintain engineering quality standards\nMentor developers, support onboarding, and provide technical leadership within the team\nCollaborate with Product, Growth leads, QA, and other engineering teams\nRequirements\nTechnical:\n5-7+ years of commercial PHP development experience\nStrong knowledge of modern PHP (8.0+) and backend engineering best practices\nSolid hands-on experience with Yii2 or willing to learn\nExperience with frontend development(Typescript, React)\nExperience designing scalable backend systems with a strong grasp of software architecture and system design principles\nStrong PostgreSQL experience: schema design, indexing, query optimization, performance tuning\nExperience designing APIs and service integrations\nSolid Git workflows, code review practices, and CI/CD experience\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills\nLeadership & Ownership:\nProven experience leading major technical initiatives\nAbility to independently drive projects from design to production\nExperience working with large legacy codebases and driving incremental modernisation without disrupting business operations\nStrong estimation, planning, prioritisation, and risk management skills\nExperience mentoring engineers\nSoft skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset\nEffective communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams\nHigh autonomy,
