This role requires a results-driven leader who can aggressively mobilize deposits, grow loan portfolios, and deliver sustainable profitability in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.\n\nResponsibilities\nBusiness Growth & Revenue Generation\nDevelop and execute strategies to drive deposit mobilization, loan disbursement, and overall revenue growth.\n\nOwn and deliver on branch targets including deposits, loans, revenue, and profitability.\n\nIdentify and onboard new customers, businesses, and partnership opportunities.\n\nExpand market share within Kano and surrounding regions through aggressive market penetration.\n\nLeadership & Team Management\nRecruit, lead, and manage a high-performing branch team.\n\nSet clear performance targets and drive accountability across all team members.\n\nImplement structured training, coaching, and performance management initiatives.\n\nFoster a strong sales and performance-driven culture within the branch.\n\nRisk Management & Compliance\nEnsure strict adherence to CBN regulations, internal policies, and credit risk frameworks.\n\nMaintain a healthy loan portfolio with minimal non-performing loans (NPLs).\n\nEnforce strong internal controls and compliance with banking standards.\n\nProactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational and credit risks.\n\nCustomer Experience & Relationship Management\nEnsure delivery of excellent customer service and client satisfaction.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with high-value customers and stakeholders.\n\nDrive cross-selling of financial products tailored to customer needs.\n\nHandle escalations and ensure prompt resolution of customer issues.\n\nOperations & Branch Management\nOversee daily branch operations including credit processing, cash management, and service delivery.\n\nEnsure operational efficiency, cost control, and profitability of the branch.\n\nMaintain optimal utilization of branch resources and infrastructure.\n\nEnsure business continuity and operational readiness always.\n\nMarket Intelligence & Stakeholder Engagement\nConduct market research to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.\n\nDevelop strong relationships with regulators, community leaders, and business networks.\n\nPosition the branch as a key financial partner within the Kano business ecosystem.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nMonthly Deposit Mobilization Volume\n\nLoan Disbursement & Portfolio Growth\n\nPortfolio at Risk (PAR) / NPL Ratio\n\nRevenue & Profitability Targets\n\nCustomer Acquisition & Retention\n\nTeam Productivity & Performance Metrics\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.\n\nMCIB (Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria) certification is required.\n\nMinimum of 5years experience strictly within a Microfinance Bank (MFB) with at least 3 years in a leadership role.\n\nStrong knowledge of Kano market, commercial terrain, and local business dynamics.\n\nProven track record in deposit mobilization, loan disbursement, and revenue growth.\n\nSolid understanding of credit risk management and regulatory compliance.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nStrong analytical and decision-making capabilities. \n\nMust reside
