Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end technical architecture and delivery of cloud and data engineering projects.

- Design scalable Azure and Databricks-based data platforms, pipelines, and solutions.

- Develop backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Python and related technologies.

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across development, data engineering, QA, and DevOps.

- Manage DevOps, deployment, and release processes, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

- Conduct architecture reviews and establish coding, testing, security, and deployment best practices.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.

- Manage client and stakeholder discussions, technical decisions, project risks, and delivery challenges.

Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Data Engineering, with significant technical leadership exposure.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks.

- Expertise in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and Data Modelling.

- Excellent Python programming skills and experience building REST APIs, microservices, and backend applications.

- Understanding of frontend development and application architecture using React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies.

- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps, cloud deployment, monitoring, and production support.

- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and scalable applications.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

- Azure certifications, Terraform/IaC, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, event-driven architectures, and API gateways will be an advantage.
