EETs generate and review internal project drawings, one-line drawings, three-line drawings, AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams. In addition, EETs will generate required calculations and cable schedule documents. EETs work as part of a project team to complete these tasks in accordance with the project requirements and schedule.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nGenerates new and makes corrections to existing one-lines, panel elevations, ACDCCommunication schematics, relay panel wiring diagrams and equipment wiring diagrams\nMakes other changes and corrections to drawings as instructed\nPerforms batch plotting of project drawings in preparation for delivery to customer\nPerforms various calculations for cabling, battery sizing, lighting design, AC load and ground grid\nGenerates cable scheduling\nDemonstrates integrity and ethics in all client relationships and communications.\nRecognizes and recommends methods to improve every customer’s experience. \nThe Electrical Engineering Technician will have zero employees reporting to this position.\nAs assigned by the designated Team Leader and/or EE Manager\nEXPECTATIONS:\nPerforms quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. \nInteracts professionally with other employees and customers.\nWorks effectively as a team contributor on all assigned projects.\nCommunicates regularly with supervisor regarding designs, concerns, studies or tests\nDesire to participate in continued education and training\nOccasional overnight travel to active job sites\nMust have clean driving record as use of company vehicles is a requirement of position\nMaintains highlighted check prints of all work they perform\nAdhere to and practice the Beta core competencies and Beta principle\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nVocational or technical certification as an Electrical Engineering Technician or an Associate Degree is the minimum requirement. Bachelor’s Degree as an Electrical Engineering Technology or Engineering Technology is preferred. \nStrong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; strong verbal and written communication skills are required.\nKnowledge of all or some of the following applications are preferred: AutoCAD, Microstation,CDEGS grounding software\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nWill work in an office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards. May involve prolonged periods of sitting and frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.\nAble to lift 50 pounds\nUse of company vehicle, on occasion. A successful Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required.\nOvernight travel is required to an active construction site for a period of one or two weeks at a time.
