CMTL is tasked with the total construction effort of their portfolio in accordance with safety, design and schedule set by Beta Engineering standards and customer contract. The CMTLs are responsible for training, recruiting, scheduling, retaining, assigning and management of CMs under their supervision. This role will perform additional duties as assigned.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDirectly supervises assigned CMs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Crest's and Beta's policies and applicable laws\nRegularly reports to Manager of Construction Management and assists with the planning of assigned work\nOversee a portfolio of projects to ensure safe execution, quality installation, and on-time performance while remaining within project budget\nLeads and mentors CMs to improve their individual and team performance to deliver on Beta’s commitments\nEnsures that CMs are trained in and implement Beta’s Safety Program and OSHA regulations\nSupport CMs with subcontractor safety issues and perform on-site safety audits to document compliance, and addresses safety issues\nEnsures that CMs are trained in the implementation of Beta’s QA/QC to support quality oversight on assigned projects ensuring that subcontractors are using correct techniques and acceptable standards to construct the project to Beta’s standards and drawings\nManages the CM’s training and certifications as outlined in Beta’s training matrix\nCM’s first point of contact for all day-to-day needs\nSupports CM in subcontractor management and maintaining relationships \nAssists CM in budget and projection updates for Project Manager\nProvides support to CM in scheduling of activities that drive construction for both the Beta Team and Subcontractor\nSupports CM in evaluating and managing procurement activities that facilitate construction progress\nReview and ensure timely submittal of required daily/ weekly and ad hoc reports for submittal to project team; including documentation collected from the customer and/or subcontractor\nInterpret policies as required\nSupports Project Manager or CM to address site specific construction issues and bring resolution by an increased site presence\nManages the logistics of CM’s needs, such as transportation, communications, office materials, and job specific requirements\nSupport job supervision on specialized equipment installations\nProvides temporary CM duties during rotation trips or when no CM is available for the Project\nProvides input on organizational structure, employee performance, employee development and disciplinary actions\nAdditional duties as assigned by the Manager of Construction Management\nEXPECTATIONS:\nThis position requires company paid travel and accommodation from site to site. Travel requirement is roughly 90% of the time with 10% remote office support, as business needs warrant\nPerforms quality work within deadlines with limited direct supervision\nWorks independently and professionally while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, teams, subcontractors, and organizations\nCommunicates and collaborates regularly with Manager of Construction Management and project management teams\nBeta Engineering’s representative must display an attitude and attributes that positively reflect Beta’s values\nUse of company vehicle is a requirement for the position. The CMTL must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nPreferred five or more years’ experience as a high voltage substation construction supervisor or foreman and/or high voltage/industrial overhead electrical line supervisor or foreman\nIn lieu of high voltage experience, a strong electrical power background may be considered\nExperience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project\nProficiency in reading plans or drawings is required\nPMP certification is preferred\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nThis position requires work to be completed in the field. Please refer to the addendum “Working in the Field” for information about requirements and conditions to be met while working in the field.\nAble to lift 50 pounds\nUse of company vehicle, on occasion.
