This position will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the manufacturing operation. This position could also manage other departments such as maintenance and scheduling based on the Operating Company structure. This position will be responsible for consistently meeting production schedules and customer commitments while following customer specifications. This position will be based in our Bloomington, MN facility.\nOperations Manager Job Summary\nCoach, develop, and mentor Supervisors on leadership skills to develop high performing teams\nSet and communicate production goals and objectives to achieve or exceed the strategic operating plan\nProvide a high level of technical expertise to support strategic growth objectives\nEstablish and monitor key performance indicators\nIncrease the company’s core manufacturing capabilities\nConduct tier meetings, monitor metrics, and initiate corrective action plans\nTroubleshoot problem areas, proactively and drive accountability\nPromote the Operational Excellence Program and drive continuous improvement and accountability throughout the operation\nCreate an open-door environment for employee questions and concerns\nEnsure all personnel are properly trained and performance goals and stretch assignments are communicated\nPartner with the Operational Excellence team on Kaizen events, 5(S), and process improvement initiatives\nPartner with Quality on the Quality Management System Compliance activities, and best practices for quality adherence\nPartner with Human Resources on talent management and employee engagement activities\nSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements\nPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, and finance to meet company goals\nUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serve\nQualifications\nOperations Manager Skills and Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field\n5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role\nAbility to consistently achieve short and long-term business results\nAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks\nAbility to coach and mentor to drive employee development and retention\nAbility to follow through on commitments and hold team members accountable\nMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)\nClear and effective verbal and written communication skills \nAttention to detail\nOrganizational skills \nAbility to work in a fast-paced team environment\nWhat Is It Like to Work for QTS?\nAt QTS, we are passionate about quality as the services we provide have a direct impact on the quality of life for others and we pride ourselves on our culture and work environment. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
