This position is primarily responsible for corporate income tax compliance, reporting, workpaper preparation, and related accounting activities for the holding company and its subsidiaries, with a primary focus on federal income tax and supporting state and local tax compliance.\nThis role is well suited for a detail-oriented tax professional who can gather and organize financial data, prepare accurate tax schedules, assist with income tax filings, maintain documentation, and support the broader tax function in a complex, multi-entity environment.\nThis is an on-site role, transitioning to a hybrid position based in Elk River, MN with an expectation of three days per week in the office to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively support business operations.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Job Functions\nAssist with the preparation of corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments.\nPrepare income tax workpapers, book-to-tax adjustments, fixed asset schedules, depreciation calculations, and other supporting documentation required for tax compliance.\nGather and organize financial data from accounting systems, subsidiaries, and business teams to support tax filings and reporting.\nAssist with quarterly and annual income tax provision support, including preparation of schedules and documentation for current and deferred tax calculations.\nAssist with documentation and data gathering for applicable tax credits and incentives as directed by tax leadership.\nAssist with tax notices, audits, and inquiries by gathering data, preparing schedules, and organizing supporting documentation.\nConduct basic income tax research and summarize findings for review by tax leadership.\nMaintain tax files, workpapers, return support, and other documentation in accordance with company policies and internal control requirements.\nSupport external tax advisors and auditors by preparing requested schedules and documentation.\nContribute to tax process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhancements to workpaper organization and documentation.\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements, Education & Experience\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field.\n1-3 years of corporate income tax compliance, public accounting, or related accounting experience.\nBasic understanding of corporate income tax compliance requirements at the federal and state level.\nExperience preparing tax workpapers, account reconciliations, schedules, or financial analysis.\nExperience with corporate tax preparation software (OneSource, Corptax, ProSystem/Access Tax or similar)\nProficiency with Microsoft Office\nAbility to gather, organize, and analyze financial data accurately.\nStrong attention to detail.\nExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.\nAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.\nDesirable Criteria & Qualifications\nCPA candidate or interest in pursuing CPA certification\nExperience in a multi-entity corporate environment or public accounting firm\nExperience in the medical device, manufacturing, or contract manufacturing industry\nPay Range\nUSD $56,400.00 - USD $84,600.00 /Yr.Pay Range Details\nThis pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
