Promote the joy, purpose and well-being of a community of approximately 700 residents. Support the overall mission by assisting residents to maintain independence and access to medical appointments, shopping and social or recreational outings. Ensure each resident is treated with professionalism and care, offering physical assistance as needed. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic vehicle inspections, and report mechanical issues to ensure safety and compliance.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n(General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities)\nResident Interaction and Customer Service:\nGreet residents with a friendly and professional demeanor. \nPick residents up at designated locations and assist them on/off vehicle, offering an arm for additional support. \nEscort residents to the entrances of their destinations (and beyond if the resident is unsteady or unable to navigate). \nOffer and provide assistance with lifting grocery bags or packages if requested or needed by residents. \nReport all behavior changes in residents to Transportation Mgr. \nCleanliness and Maintenance:\nInspect both the interior and exterior of the vehicle before and during your shift to ensure cleanliness and safety. \nKeep vehicles clean at all times (I.E.: no trash, smudges, or clutter). \nFollow van policies (I.E.: no snacking in fleet vehicles) and clean protocols provided by the Manager or Lead and use waiting time between trips to maintain vehicle cleanliness. \nExamine engine oil, coolant, windshield washer fluids and fuel before their first trip. Ask Manager or Lead for standard operating procedures. \nNotify the Manager or Lead immediately if you notice any issues with your assigned fleet vehicle. For example: \nA malfunctioning turn signal. \nUnusual noises such as squeaks, rattles, or growls. \nThe steering wheel pulling to one side when braking. \nRough or delayed transmission shifting. \nBe aware of all mechanical issues, even if minor ones and speak with the Manager or Lead to determine if it is safe to continue a route. \nFill out vehicle inspection forms and submit them to the Manager or Lead upon return to the office. \nEnsure all vehicle accessories are present, properly stored and in good working condition (I.E.: Fire extinguishers, highway warning kits and first aid kits). \nTransportation:\nPerform safe, efficient transportation via sedan or van to medical appointments, errands and to social/recreational outings that residents have scheduled with the CSL Transportation office. \nTeamwork and Professional Development:\nParticipate in continuing education programs and team meetings when possible. \nWork collaboratively with coworkers, with residents, and with other departments of CRISTA Ministries, as requested by Mgr. or Lead. \nAdministrative Management:\nMaintain required statistical information by keeping a daily transportation log and working with Transportation Supervisor to establish data gathering methods for program evaluation. \nObtain approval from the CSL Transportation Manager or Lead before using a P-card and upload all receipts as soon as possible. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nConduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS\nCHRIST CENTERED\nBelief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.\nIs a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.). \nPrayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA. \nEngages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices. \nAffirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).\nConducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).\nDemonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.\nEDUCATION\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nEXPERIENCE\nMinimum of three years driving experience.\nLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION\nValid Washington State Driver’s License. \nMinimum 3 years with a clear driving record. \nFirst Aid certification or training and certification within 90 days of employment. \nComplete Relias training to meet requirement of Crista Senior Living Administration. \nSOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE\nComputer, phones, Microsoft Office and others.\nOTHER CONSIDERATIONS\nMinimum age 25. \nFlexibility with the schedule is necessary daily, including the time you report to or leave work. Flexibility with changes, like driving in heavy traffic, appointment cancellations, and unscheduled additional activities will be necessary. \nProtected Health Information at Level 2-Minimum level resident information necessary to complete assigned task and/or document actions. \nRead, write, communicate in and interpret English at a functional level. \nAbility to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions.
