With deep expertise in grid modernization and a passion for creating resilient, responsive energy solutions, Critical Loop drives innovation at the intersection of technology and energy.\nAbout the Role\nThe People Operations Coordinator will support the day-to-day People Operations function at Critical Loop and help create a smooth, consistent employee experience across the organization. Reporting to the People & Talent Lead, this role will support benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, HR systems, compliance, and general employee support.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working across a wide range of People-related needs in a fast-growing environment. You’ll help keep the operational side of People running smoothly while serving as an approachable resource for employees and managers.\nThis is a Hybrid Role located in Torrance, CA. On-site requirement is 3 days per week.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport day-to-day People Operations\n\nHelp coordinate the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding\n\nAdminister employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, employee questions, and coordination with benefit vendors\n\nMaintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring employee changes are documented and processed timely\n\nSupport onboarding logistics, including new hire documentation, system setup coordination, benefits information, and first-day readiness\n\nCoordinate offboarding, including documentation, final payroll inputs, benefits transitions, equipment coordination, and system access\n\nProvide support with employee relations matters, including documentation, follow-up, and coordination with the Head of People\n\nAssist with leave administration, accommodations, and other employee-specific People processes\n\nSupport payroll-related employee changes and ensure accurate information is communicated to the accounting team\n\nAssist with HR compliance, required notices, documentation, recordkeeping, and policy administration\n\nSupport performance review cycles and other recurring People programs\n\nHelp maintain and improve People processes, documentation, templates, and internal resources as the company grows\n\nPartner cross-functionally with Finance, IT, managers, and other teams to support employee needs\n\nAssist with employee engagement initiatives, company events, and other People team projects\n\nTake on additional People Operations responsibilities and projects as the organization continues to scale\n\nRequirements:\n5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a similar role\n\nWorking knowledge of core HR processes, including onboarding, off-boarding, benefits, employee records, and general HR administration\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working directly with employees at all levels\n\nSound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately\n\nComfortable working independently while knowing when to escalate or ask for guidance\n\nPreferred Requirements:\nExperience with HRIS and other People systems; experience with Gusto or similar platforms is a plus\n\nFamiliarity with California employment practices is a plus\n\nA service-oriented approach and genuine interest in creating a positive employee experience\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment where processes may continue to evolve\n\nWork Authorization: Critical Loop does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
