This position coordinates daily facility operations, assists user groups and event organizers, ensures facility readiness, and supports overall event success.\n\nEssential Job Functions\nEssential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, May include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.\nServe as the primary on-site contact for athletic events, tournaments, practices, and facility rentals.\nCoordinate with staff, user groups, officials, vendors, and event organizers to ensure smooth event operations.\nConduct facility walkthroughs before, during, and after events to ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness.\nAssist with scheduling and coordination of athletic fields, facilities, and event logistics.\nMonitor field and facility conditions and communicate operational needs to turf and maintenance staff.\nEnsure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.\nAssist with setup and breakdown of sporting events, tournaments, ceremonies, and special events.\nRespond to customer questions, concerns, and operational issues in a professional manner.\nMaintain communication with supervisors regarding event operations, staffing needs, incidents, and facility concerns.\nAssist with crowd management, vendor coordination, and participant flow during events.\nSupport daily operations of the sports complex including inspections, reporting, and administrative tasks.\nPrepare written reports and documentation related to events, incidents, and facility operations.\nProvide excellent customer service to coaches, athletes, officials, spectators, and visitors.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMust posses required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.\nKnowledge of athletic facility operations and event coordination practices.\nAbility to organize and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nAbility to remain professional and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.\nAbility to work independently while maintaining effective working relationships with staff and facility users.\nAbility to enforce policies and procedures tactfully and consistently.\n\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School graduate or equivalent. Experience in athletics, recreation, event operations, facility management or customer service preferred.\n\nRequired Licenses or Certificates\nMust possess a valid Mississippi Driver's License\n\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
