This position emphasizes safety, data quality, professionalism, and adherence to company procedures and FAA regulations while supporting inspection and asset assessment activities throughout assigned service regions.\nNo prior professional drone experience is required. Selected candidates must obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and successfully complete CROM's drone flight and inspection training program\nEssential Duties Responsibilities\n1. Drone Operations & Data Collection\nConduct drone inspections of water storage tanks and other infrastructure assets.\nPerform pre-flight planning, equipment inspections, and required safety checks.\nSafely operate company-owned drones in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.\nCapture high-quality imagery, video, thermal data, and related inspection information in accordance with project requirements and quality standards.\nUtilize field quality assurance software and procedures to verify completeness and accuracy of collected inspection data.\nUpload inspection data, photographs, videos, and supporting documentation to designated company platforms.\n2. Documentation & Reporting\nComplete digital field reports and inspection documentation.\nSupport defect identification, data validation, and review of 3D models and digital inspection records.\nMaintain organized records of inspection activities, flight operations, and collected data\nEnsure data is documented and submitted in accordance with company standards and project requirements\n3. Coordination & Project Support\nCoordinate with Project Managers, Inspectors, Operations personnel, and other team members regarding project schedules, logistics, and field activities.\nDrive company vehicles to and from project locations while maintaining a safe driving record and complying with all company policies.\nAssist with inspection-related field activities and support operational needs as assigned.\nTravel regularly to project locations, including occasional overnight travel\n4. Professional Conduct & Development\nMaintain compliance with FAA regulations and company drone operating procedures.\nParticipate in company-sponsored drone flight training, inspection training, and continuing development activities. \nMaintain drone equipment, batteries, charging systems, and related field equipment in proper working condition.\nMaintain and enhance the Company's image through personal demeanor and methods of conducting business.\n5. Other Duties as Assigned\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.\nAbility to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate within a specified timeframe.\nAbility to successfully complete CROM's drone flight and inspection training program.\nComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.\nBasic computer, tablet, and mobile device skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety.\nEffective oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience operating drones recreationally or professionally.\nFAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.\nExperience performing field inspections, construction work, surveying, photography, or related technical field work.\nExperience using tablets, mobile applications, cloud-based software, or electronic data collection tools.\nInterest in aviation, technology, engineering, infrastructure, or asset inspection services\nWorking Conditions\nThis position regularly performs work outdoors at active project sites and infrastructure facilities. Frequent travel is required throughout assigned service regions, including periodic overnight travel. Work may be performed in varying weather conditions and around construction and industrial environments.
